Ulster Project

selected writings ULSTER PROJECT

For one month I followed 32 Irish and American teens, Catholic and Protestant, as they lived, worked and worshipped together. They were participants in the Ulster Project, a peace program started by ministers in Northern Ireland to help teens in Belfast bridge cultural differences. The series won the 1999 Mark of Excellence award for feature writing, presented by the Society of Professional Journalists.
